Full 4×8 sheets of plywood are heavy, awkward, and won't fit in most vehicles. Our Cut-to-Carry service solves this: we cut your sheet goods to manageable sizes so you can load them and go.

Simple, Transparent Pricing

We keep it straightforward:

  • First 2 cuts are FREE — rip a full sheet in half, crosscut it into quarters, whatever you need
  • After that: $0.25 per linear foot — you only pay for additional cutting

For example: If you need a full sheet cut into 4" (3-7/8") strips (11 rip cuts @ 8' each = 88 linear feet), your first 2 cuts (~16 LF) are free. The remaining 72 LF costs just $18.00.

Materials We Cut

  • Plywood: Baltic birch, hardwood plywood, construction ply, marine-grade
  • Sheet goods: MDF, particleboard, melamine, hardboard, pegboard
  • Specialty panels: Veneer core, MDF core, laminate-faced panels

Cut-to-Carry vs. Custom Cut List

Cut-to-Carry is our quick service for getting sheets into manageable pieces. Tell us "rip this in thirds" or "cut into quarters" and we'll have it ready in minutes.

For detailed cut lists with specific dimensions, we offer Custom Cut List service with optimized nesting to minimize waste. Ask about our cut optimization tool that calculates exactly how many sheets you need and the total linear footage of cutting.

How Linear Footage Works

Every foot of blade travel counts as 1 linear foot. A rip cut down an 8' sheet = 8 LF. A crosscut across a 4' width = 4 LF. Two free cuts typically gives you 8-12 linear feet of free cutting — enough to turn one full sheet into 4 manageable pieces.

Equipment & Capabilities

  • Vertical panel saw for easy rip cuts
  • Scoring blade for clean veneer cuts
  • Precision fence system

Frequently Asked Questions

1 How many free cuts do I get?

You get 2 free cuts per visit. That's typically 8-16 linear feet of free cutting — enough to break down a full sheet into 4 carryable pieces.

2 What counts as a linear foot?

Every foot the blade travels through the material. An 8' rip = 8 LF. A 4' crosscut = 4 LF.

3 Can I bring my own plywood?

Absolutely. We charge the same cutting rate regardless of where the material came from.

4 Do you optimize cuts to save money?

Yes! Our cut optimizer can nest your parts to minimize total linear footage. Bring your cut list and we'll show you the most efficient layout.
